Here you'll find additional ATA offerings in custom software solutions based on clients' tools and processes that provide improvements in time, quality, and costs. These are not yet part of ATA|Suite, but we are happy to work with you to delop these or other tools for your specific needs.

ASI (Automated Strain Interface)
VXI TechnologyThe Automated Strain Interface (ASI) software program is used to configure VXI Technology’s VT1529B strain hardware prior to taking dynamic strain measurements. ASI can also make static strain measurements directly from the VT1422 without the need for additional hardware.

ASI allows the user to configure bridge types, get channel sensitivities, and set channel descriptions and voltage offsets prior to taking strain measurements.

ATS
Automated Test Setup, or ATS, developed with The Modal Shop (TMS), is a complete hardware and software package (photo, right) designed to reduce structural test setup time and minimize errors during setup. ATS implements bar-code scanning and "smart" transducer technology (photo, below) to provide an automated way to define channel information such as node label, measurement direction, measurement description, transducer serial number, and sensitivity for a multichannel test. ATS helps the user define the configuration of transducers, amplifiers, and front-end channels using bar-code scanning techniques and spreadsheet files. This reduces setup time and the chance of human error during the data-entry process. It also allows for robust troubleshooting and setup verification for large-scale tests.

A typical procedure utilizing ATS would be as follows:

  1. Print bar codes for sensors and structure.
  2. Place barcodes on structure.
  3. Scan the sensor and node information at points on the structure.
  4. Import the TEDS (smart transducers) data files from the PCB 440 amplifiers.
  5. Run ATS comparison and check to identify errors in setup.
  6. Read ATS-generated I-deas® Universal files (Channels Tables, Coordinate Traces, Transducer Calibration, etc.) into data-acquisition software.

The ATS package comes with a Palm™ Handheld scanner, HotSync cradle, leather case for the scanner, and foam padded carrying case. It also includes the Palm® Desktop and Handheld Operating System (Palm OS®), Seagull BarTender® bar-code generation software, ATS in Excel spreadsheet format, and all the executables that form the basis of ATS.

REANALYSIS
REANALYSIS was developed by ATA to provide the capability of calculating accurate spacecraft loads without a vehicle model, facilitating the design of improved spacecraft structures. It does this by calculating the dynamic response of a component given the results from a previous coupled loads analysis. Applications of REANALYSIS include rapid calculation of loads in a spacecraft during the design cycle, and fast recalculation of loads due to a change in a small component of a large model.

TRATRAN
Developed and sold exclusively by ATA, TRATRAN is a TRASYS-to-I-deas® translator used to create a TMG radiation model, or to view a TRASYS model in I-deas®. TRATRAN converts the existing TRASYS surface definitions into an I-deas® universal file. The contents of the universal file can be read into I-deas®, where the model can be displayed and prepared for use as a TMG radiation analysis. TRATRAN can handle both SCS and point method surfaces, duplicated and imaged surfaces, and nearly every surface type (excluding ELEMENT) is translated. In addition to translating the TRASYS model to I-deas®, ATA can customize the output to work with other Finite Element Analysis packages, such as MSC/Patran or ANSYS.
